金融工程在不同的大学有不同的称谓：Financial Engineering，　Financial Mathematics，Mathematical Finance，Computational Finance，但是无论是叫金融工程，金融数学，数学金融仍是计算金融，它们的实质都是一样的--it represents the emerging discipline wherein mathematical tools are usedto model financial markets and solve problems in finance，即以数学东西来建立金融市场模型和处理金融问题的新兴学科。

恳求要求：A minimum of an upper second-class Bachelor's degree from a UK university in engineering, physics or applied mathematics, or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard. Strong mathematical and some programming skills are recommended.

雅思要求：总分6.5，单项不低于6.0.

Careers
Graduates of this programme will be well placed for a future career within engineering, project management, finance, investment banking or IT sector. For example, as part of the programme you will complete modules in project management and finance, utilise UCL’s virtual trading room that uses Reuters’ electronic platform and receive guidance on how to work toward recognised certifications for the financial industries.

申请建议：金融工程这个专业对数学、计算机都有必定的要求，数学不太好，但是又很想申这个专业的同学，建议你考一个700+的Gmat作为一个补偿，如果时间来得及，可以参加相关实习或许科研项目进步软实力。均分至少要在85分或以上，雅思官方要求是6.5,6.0.我们建议最少考到7.0,6.5.因为申请ICL这样的名校的学生，不缺学霸。我们要尽可能得做到更好。文书的部分在恳求名校中，占有非常重要的效果，在基本条件契合恳求要求的前提下，文书写得是否专业、有特征、有内容、有意思直接影响到选取效果。所以建议同学们找一家靠谱的中介公司来做这件作业。其他很重要的一点就是早预备早占位早申请！
