雅思口语难题解析--An Important Plant

转眼雅思口语考试已经进入了第二个变题季，从1-5月的几场口语考试来看，植物这个新话题的出现频率是非常高的，相信这个新题在接下来的时间内也不会失去考官的宠爱。所以，为了给各位在雅思口语考试第一战线上备受凌辱或者努力奋战的烤鸭们提供非常有帮助和价值的一手救命资料，本文中，笔者将对该话题进行分析和说明，希望烤鸭们都能够得到自己理想的分数。 

首先，拿到这个话题时遇到的一个困难就是词汇，植物（花，树，蔬菜）的英语表达不会，或者想到的都是最常见的名称，诸如：rose, lily, carrot，carnation。当然对于口语分数要求在5.5-6的同学来说，这些话题虽然不具新颖性，但只要你的句型表达，流利度，语法能达到评分标准上的要求，还是可以拿到理想的成绩，而对于分数在6分以上的考生，特别是想靠口语拉分的烤鸭们，必须得保证素材的奇特性。所以在考前考生要先熟悉这方面的相关词汇。

 其次，在选材方面我们要抓中国特色的植物，因为一个非常好的点子会让你在第二部分的重头戏非常顺利，在这里我想给烤鸭们提供一个例子，是大家耳熟能详的植物：Jasmine 茉莉花。相信在看到这三个字的时候大家脑海还都会回想起中国的一首民族歌曲《好一朵茉莉花》，就在今年的春晚上我们还有幸重温了一遍。

最后，就是在语言表达的上，烤鸭们要注意句子逻辑的紧凑性和连贯性。

Describe an important plant in your country.
       You should say:  what the plant is
                                  how you know it
                                  why it is important;
                                  and explain how much you like this plant
       Sample answer:
       Well, speaking of an important plant in my country, I suppose I'd like to talk about a significant flower called Jasmine. It is a kind of small and white flower which gives off a rich and pleasant perfume. You know, without any showy sharp or color like pony and rose, the Jasmine blossom is small and plain. Despite of that, the fragrance is curiously heavy and persistent, and that is probably the reason why so many people would like to grow this flower in their gardens. What's more, it represents the everlasting and faithful love. So, young people also prefer sending jasmines to their boyfriends or girlfriends to express their love.
       In addition, Jasmine also symbolizes China, the whole nation. In 2008, Beijing Olympic Games, on behalf of Chinese traditional culture, the folk song named Jasmine was broadcast in the opening ceremony. As the media of cultural communication, I guess most international friends will be reminded of the fabulous opening ceremony and Chinese civilization as soon as they hear the song.
