Agree or disagree: Athletes and entertainers can be good politicians. 

　　there is a trend that some celebrities are engaged in politics, being elected as parliament representative or selected to become officers. Many people suggest that it is a justified phenomenon since many of them start business in catering industry or fashion industry, why it is impossible for them to become politicians? However, as far as i am concerned, i cast serious doubt on it and believe that it is not appropriate for them to choose areas that they are not familiar with, especially politics.

　　the main reason is that athletes and entertainers lack fundamental  political knowledge. It is common that many of them do not receive a high level of education, even some of them do not hold high school diploma. Also, in China, the majors related with acting, directing and sports have a low requirement for students’ academic performance. Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that they are not aware of some knowledge about politics. Even though some of them try to compensate this kind of  inadequacy, they are deprived of time because of their busy schedule about training and so on.  For example, students attending sports school spend majority of their time on physical training and psychological regulation, with no much time left for accumulation of knowledge. Therefore, it can be found that some of them are attacked on the internet because of their brainless comments about social and political issues.

　　the second reason lies in that they may not possess the core value of politicians. politicians are those who are insightful and care for the matters of the public.  What they really concern is never their own profits, but the benefits of the majority. However, such characters are seldom found in athletes and entertainers due to the fact that since the day they undertake such jobs, their attention may be focused more on what they can gain by utilizing people’ favor and support. Such fact may greatly prevent them from being politicians. Besides, many of them are money-oriented, which is completely opposite to what a good politician should be. For example, some actors stared in some movies or TV dramas only for the high pay and never thought about the theme, the plots and lines. 

　　admittedly, due to their profound effect among the public, people are more likely to be persuaded into believing and following their political decision, which renders the enforcement of policies efficient and effective. However, when it is viewed from another perspective, once they convince the public their wrong decisions,  people will also follow them blindly and be misled into wrong direction, which will trigger serious consequence.
