雅思写作：教育类话题词汇串讲

教育类作文是雅思作文常见的话题之一，各位考生们要在平时积极地积累教育类的词汇，以备不时之需！今天主要来讲解一个常见的教育类题目并进行词汇串讲和运用。

Topic: Some people think that children should learn to compete, but others think that children should be taught to co-operate so that they could become more useful adults. State some reasons for both views and give your opinions.拿到这样的题目，可以快速分析这是一个讨论类作文，即需要讨论话题的两个方面，并给出自己的观点。

支持学生应该学会竞争的理由有：

良好的竞争意识( a well sense of competition) 是取得进步的一个动力( driving force),帮助他们获得成功。(contribute to their personal achievement)

1） 从小学就开始的激烈的竞争（fierce competition）可以让他们而后进入到一个比较有名的大学。（a prestigious university）

2） 针对以后在就业岗位上的高压力（high-pressured）,一定的竞争意识能让学生们脱颖而出(stand out),并取得一些成就。(obtain achievement)

支持学生们应该培养合作意识的理由有：

1） 与老师的互动(interaction)，学生之间的团队合作(team-work)能使学生想取得一个良好的成绩(achieve academic success), 并且也能培养他们的人际交往能力（develop their interpersonal skills）.
2） 在将来的就业岗位上(employment),学会合作是招聘的一个前提条件。（prerequisite）.很多学生就是因为缺乏一些工作技巧inadequate employment-oriented skills，而找不到合适的工作。
3） 互相合作使学生学会自信( confidence), 更快的适应环境（adaptability ）,并且也能使他们获得真挚的友谊。（gain genuine friendship）

Reasons for competition:
The sense of competition should be embraced, since it is the driving force behind all progress.

1) Fierce competition starts from primary school where all the students vie to get better grades in order to enter a prestigious university. 

2) Due to the high pressure in their future employment, a sense of competition enables the children to stand out and obtain personal achievement.

Reasons for cooperation:

1) The interaction with teachers and teamwork between classmates contribute to students’ scholastic achievement, and also will develop their interpersonal skills.

2) Teamwork is a prerequisite for all job seekers ,which is reflected in every organization.

3) If children are taught how to cooperate well with others, they are more likely to establish genuine friendship.
