雅思写作热门话题之不同文化背景下的餐桌文化

看过《唐顿庄园》的童鞋们都对这个场景非常熟悉吧。演员们优雅的妆容，精致的食物以及高冷的British Accent，不过最令人印象深刻的还是他们繁复的餐桌礼仪。Anyway，我们并不是要讨论这些贵族们的饮食起居，Just let begones be begone. (让过去的就过去吧…天津话简说成：去去吧…)

其实今天雅思资深老师任婕主要想跟大家聊一聊：不同文化背景下的餐桌文化。这也是雅思写作的热门话题之一哦。

我们先来看看离我们最近的国家-日本Japan

It is “perfectly” okay to slurp（啧啧吃东西的声音） when you eat noodles. Unlike making big noises, slurping mildly is not rude but is a compliment（赞美） to the chef. Japanese also say it tastes better if you slurp.
Eat sushi whole. Dip the fish part rather than the rice into soy sauce. （这一点日本人很纠结的，吃寿司一定要用上面的鱼类沾酱油！！！不要用米饭沾酱油！！！）
What else: It is important to say traditional phrases of thanks before and after a meal.

OK，下一个，战斗民族-俄罗斯Russia

Your wrists should be placed on the edge of the table while eating, fork in left hand, knife in the right. Keep your hands in sight. It is not good manners to rest them on your lap. Keep your elbows off the table. （常年吃饭把一只手放在腿上的童鞋，去俄罗斯可能要被打死的。）
What else: Leave some food on your plate to show that the host has given you enough to eat. Or the host will ask it you’d like to have a second helping. It’s polite to mop up excess sauce or gravy with bread.

换个远一点的地方-我男神C罗的家乡-葡萄牙Portugal

Don’t ask for salt and pepper if it is not on the table. “Asking for any kind of seasoning or condiment” will offend the cook.
Cooks are highly respected in Portugal. （Seriously？饭做难吃了还不让另外点一个调料？）
What else: Place your napkin on your lap, and don’t eat with your fingers. Don’t switch cutlery between hands.

最后一个，最优雅的国度-法国France

Never discuss money or religion over dinner. Going Dutch（AA制） is considered “the height of unsophistication”.（出国以后大家吃饭就去找法国人吧，不用你们买单哦~） In France, a meal is like a ceremony. People relish it and make it’s a special occasion. (怎样吃法餐才能显得高贵不失身份？请参照电影《憨豆先生的假期》中的经典情节)
What else: In the contrast to the etiquette in Russia, it’s considered good manners to finish everything on your plate.
People often cut bread directly on a table cloth rather than on a plate. Tear your bread into bite-sized pieces before eating. Taking a bite from the whole piece is very impolite.
