Q1.How do you usually contact your friends? [Why?]
A1: I do use Wechat a lot to keep in touch with my friends. It is now an easy way to connect with your friends, you know, like, sending text messages or voice mails, making video chat, sharing photos and moments, ect. All can be done with just a few swipes and touches. All is free.
Q2.Do you prefer to contact different people in different ways? [Why?]
A2: Yes, I do. I prefer to contact my work partners with phone rather than using apps such as Wechat. And I use apps to contact my friends and family a lot more than calling or texting. In doing so I keep my work and my life separate. I believe that people should have privacy at these days. You don’t want to be bothered by strangers or people you are not quite familiar with in your personal life.
Q3.Do you find it easy to keep in contact with friends and family? [Why/Why not?]
A3: Sure. You can make phone calls, leave a message, send e-mails, use video chatting, etc. As long as you care, there always are different ways to contact with them.
Q4.In your country, did people in the past keep in contact in the same ways as they do today? [Why/Why not?]
A4: I guess not. Maybe some old-fashioned guys keep it as in the past. But most of us have experienced a lot of different ways contacting people. The point is, if you are not with the most, you might get lost of your contact. So it is about how much do you care about connecting and I guess that most of Chinese like keeping in touch with each other.
