雅思阅读单句类填空题讲解

 今天我们继续对雅思阅读填空题中的单句填空题进行详细讲解，单句填空整体出题为顺序性原则，重点考察学生的定位能力，句间关系识别判定，感情色彩，修饰关系和同义替换能力等的把握，今日我们就剑15的T1P1中的一篇单句填空题进行讲解，希望在之后的学习中对同学们有所帮助，在考试中取得不错分数。

The nutmeg tree and fruit

如所有填空题的做法，首先我们应当读指令，即范围限制和字数要求，此题指令为one word only，因此所填答案不能超过一个字，而范围信息为from the passage，即答案分散全文。

接着我们判断空格词性和寻找定位词，空格处所填词基本以名词居多，第1题在are后面，因此答案为名词性或者形容词性，根据主系表结构，若为名词应在解释说明主语，和主语具有相等性，若是形容词则在修饰主语，而根据后面的in shape判定为表形状的形容词，我们根据leaves树叶定位到The tree is thickly branched with dense foliage of tough, dark green oval leaves，其中oval修饰leaves而且表形状应为我们所填词。第2题放在the后面应为名词，同时根据surrounds和breaks的单三形式可以判定为单数可数名词或者不可数名词，根据fruit和ripe定位，The fruit is encased in a fleshy husk. When the fruit is ripe, this husk splits into two halves along a ridge running the length of the fruit.其中encase为surround的同替，split与break为同替，因此答案应为husk.

第三题由于spice和nutmeg皆为文章题目，无法用来定位，我们可以拿真个句意结合顺序性原则进行寻找，做出答案，也可以根据句中的produce进行定位，找该词及起同替。同时，该题在the之后应为名词，又由于is应为可数名词单数或者不可数名词，我们定位到Theseare the sources of the two spices nutmeg and mace, the former being produced from the dried seed and the latter from the aril.该句为题干的被动语态形式，转换为主动语态即the seed produce spices nutmeg，因此答案为seed.最后一题，在produce后面应为名词，我们拿aril进行定位，该空填produce的宾语，该题出题点仍为上一个答案句the latter from the aril，我们知道the former指的是nutmeg，而latter即为mace，因此mace即为答案。
