雅思选词填空题技巧讲解

 遇到填空题可能有些同学会觉得一头雾水，尤其是语法比较差的同学，每每做到这类题目，都会如临大敌。本期新通教育西安雅思老师王磊为同学们讲解雅思选词填空题的一些技巧。

首先，总的来说，这类题型在文章中也是按照顺序原则的规律出现的，针对这类题目，我们有下面几个技巧来帮助自己迅速确定答案。

1.注意题目要求:？般这类题目对于从文章中选词的数量是有要求的。

例如：

choose no more than three words and/or a number from the passage.

以上的要求告诉我们：这道题最多只能用三个单词或者三个单词和一个数字。考试时一定要首先注意词书要求

在做题？方法上？，填空题有两类常见方法：1 找修饰 2 找并列

修饰法：先确定需要填写词汇的词性，然后需要这个词是否有或者作为定语和状语的修饰成分，如果有我们就通过题干内关键词和修饰词共同进行定位，做题

Example:

requirement: one word only

question：Marie and Irene Curie developed X-radiography, which was used as a medical technique for______.

Text: Marie Curie, with the help of her daughter Irene, devoted herself to the development of the use of X-radiography, including the mobile units used for the treatment of wounded soldiers.

上面这道题，首先我们发现有一个大写词语 X-radiography, 同时我们发现需要填的词汇词性为名词，并且该词是作为修饰语修饰X-radiography。所以我们定位到原文最后几个词“the treatment of wounded soldiers, 最终去掉修饰语，我们的答案就应该是soldiers.

example:

One form of vertical farming involves planting in _____ which are not fixed.

text: one variation on vertical farming that has been developed is to grow plants in stacked trays that moves on rails.

以上的例题还是一个典型的找修饰的题目，我们首先确定需要填的词汇为名词，同时这个词有一个修饰语“ which are not fixed” (它不是固定的)。回到原文，我们发现定语从句“ moves on rails”的含义就是在轨道上移动，因此答案就是这个词从句所修饰的 “stacked trays”

这里同时需要注意，如果所填词数超过题目要求，优先删除修饰语，例如：

the deprived children—children

a novel written by Mr Wang— a novel

2.并列法 若题干中需要被填的单词和一个词语并列，？这个并列词进？定位，找到并列关系 ，然后确定位置答题。我们首先需要了解哪些词汇可以起到并列作用：

并列指？示词:

not only .....but also, and , both, on the one hand.....on the other hand, for one thing.....for another thing .....etc

examples:

The radioactive material stocked in Paris contributed to the discoveries in the 1930s of the ______ and of what was known as artificial radioactivity. (one word)

text: this work prepared the way for the discovery of the neutron by Sir James Chadwick and, above all, for the discovery in 1934 of artificial radioactivity.

上面这道题的做题步骤为，首先，我们通过文章可以确定所填词汇的词性为名词。第二，根据并列法，我们发现，所填词汇和题干中的artificial radioactivity产生了并列关系，因此，我们只需要以artificial radioactivity为定位词回到文中确定位置，然后找到与之并列的名词就可以了。回到文中，我们发现文章提到了两个discoveries，一个是artificial radioactivity，另一个就是并列词汇and前面的名词“neutron’，这就是我们的答案。
