5月雅思换题季后，我们又迎来一大波新话题。今天王静怡老师和大家谈一谈part1新话题——travel

题目

Do you want to travel in the outer space?

Do you think it is necessary to see other planets?

When was the last time you went travelling?

Have you traveled recently?

Do you like to travel by air?

Do Chinese people travel in the same way as they did before?

考试内容涉及两个方面：

1. 太空旅行

2. 日常旅行

太空旅行

核心表达

(1) I’m not willing to travel in the space.

• It is too costly, and one space journey may cost me several properties in my city.

• It is also very risky. You know, in many sci-fi films, the spacecraft ran out of petrol which led many serious accidents, such as losing control and explosion.

• The trip in the universe would take a long time and I couldn’t see my family and friends, which might make me feel homesick.

• The strange and heavy spacesuit, the disguising liquid food, and the feeling of losing gravity may drive me crazy.

(2) I will be very happy to try this kind of travel.

• I can explore the universe and also enjoy the mind-blowing views of the planets and the galaxy. It would be very surprising and fantastic.

• I always enjoy trying something new. Traveling in the outer space could be very different from having a trip on earth. It would be so exciting.

• If I had a chance to travel in the outer space, I could get the best of both worlds: knowing more about our universe and having a period of time off from work.

语法考察点

虚拟。因为“太空旅行”是一个未来的概念，还没有实现，所以在回答的过程当中学生应该使用虚拟的表述，经常会用到“would, should, could, might”等表达。

语法考察点

时态。这个话题整体都是对时态的考查，举几个例子：

When was the last time you went travelling? 明显是考察过去时态的，有一些考生在考试的过程当中直接跟考官去说“I can’t remember it”其实是没有了解考官的考试意图。如果被问到这样的问题就算记不太清，也要说“Actually, it’ve been a really long time that I didn’t go on a trip, so the memory about my last journey is quite dim, but I guess it was about 5 years ago, … ”之后都用过去式回答。

另外Have you traveled recently?这个问题也是考察时态，如果说了Yes, I have.后面的表述还是会回归到过去时，比如Yes, I have. Last month, my family and I went to …

Do Chinese people travel in the same way as they did before?这个考察了混合时态，因为涉及到了现在与过去的对比，考生在回答过程当中既要用一般现在时去回答现在人们旅行的方式，又要用过去时态去说明国人过去的旅行方式，可以说是考察时态的难题了。eg. No, I don’t think so. In the past days, Chinese used to travel in groups with a guide, but now more and more people choose to plan their own itinerary or go backpacking. “used to do sth.”是我们说到过去的事情的时候常用的表达，学生应该熟练掌握。
