参考思路：（注意 3 restaurant review的意思是 餐馆品鉴，餐馆点评。）

1 film recommendation.

I think film recommendation would attract most students and has the best effect both for school and students. First of all, most students will go into raptures at the mere mention of films, and especially when there is a class to recommend the best films to them, definitely they have no reason to reject it! Plus, nowadays films are being produced with increasing speed and varied qualities, which caused tremendous difficulties for students to choose the better one and truly appreciate them. So the significance of film recommendation is pretty self-explaining, it can allow students to know how to appreciate and understand the meaning of the films and they can spend their time and money on the best films.

2 tips and advice about student travel.

Giving students specific and useful tips on their trips is becoming increasingly urgent and vital. We know students nowadays have more chances and possibilities of going travels, some even going out without having enough money, they call it “travel on a budget （穷游）”. However, travel on a budget can be highly risky, it is possible that students may be deceived or stolen by the strangers on the way, or they may meet some dangers if they are out of food and have no place to shelter them. So if there is a class can tell students which places are the most worthwhile visiting and at the same time can guarantee their safety, how to plan their budget, how to identify strangers’ intentions, and even how to rescue themselves if they are in danger, the class can become the most popular one in school!

3 restaurant review.

Restaurant review is a class can bring all kinds of benefits, cultivating students’ interests in cooking and teaching them how to choose the most nutritional food are two of the most direct ones. It is because if we want to review a restaurant we will evaluate not only its hygiene conditions, but also the quality and variety of the food, if they are tasty or not, do they have the nutritional value, the service and customer experience and so on. So it is highly likely that students, when appreciating and tasting the food, if not wish to become chef in restaurants, can also be drawn to cook food themselves, and their food can be tasty and of high quality, which can have long lasting effects on the diet of the whole society.

TASK 2 学校应不应该教学生moral value？

参考思路：YES, 1, harmonious human relationship both in school and the society; 2, only an educated student with higher moral value, can be useful.

Sample answer：My answer for the question is definitely YES. Because I can’t imagine the graduates of a school or university can master all kinds of scientific knowledge yet of poor moral value！ In that way, the society would become a nightmare, thinking that the graduates may put their knowledge into illegal activities. The true aim of the university is to cultivate useful graduates for the society, for its development and harmony. Plus, only when the school and family work together, can the moral value be well taught and learned. Especially kids are more likely to listen to their teachers than parents, in this sense, moral teaching in school can not only of high efficiency, but also contribute to the harmonious relationships among students and teachers. So the significance of moral teaching in school can never be exaggerated.

Your foreign friend is considering coming to your country to visit,but he/she doesn’t know how to plan the trip. What suggestions do you give him/her?

参考思路：1. Join a tour group. 2. Review the website to see some recommendation in advance. 3. Ask a local friend to go together.

Sample answer:

1. I recommend my friend to join a tour group. There are a lot of benefits, first he/she would not be bothered by the reservation of hotels, restaurants as well as the choose of transportation, all he/she needs to do is follow the guide of the trip, mainly they go to the selected spots to enjoy themselves. Also, travelling with a group of people can provide a chance for him/ her to communicate and make friends. They can share each other’s life stories and prospects about the sceneries, all those stuff can make the trip even more memorable.
 

2. Ask a local friend to go together is my suggestion. This is the best way for him/her to enjoy the local culture, not just the metropolis like Beijing or Shanghai, which we know are almost the same with New York or Tokyo, because there might be some traditions or festivals the foreigners can not understand, like Moon Cake Day or Dragon Boat Day. Also, when accompanied by a friend, they can share their feelings or telling jokes together, spilt the cost together, or even take photos for each other, the trip must be very enjoyable.

TASK 2 一大公司打算在你家乡建设一工厂，

该工厂会产生很多就业机会，

但是同时也会产生很多污染。你是否同意？

A big cooperation is planning to invest in a factory in your hometown. This factory will create many job opportunities for people, but also bring a lot of pollution at the same time. Do you agree or disagree?

参考思路：disagree，pollution is the bottom line.

Sample answer: I definitely disagree with this plan. Nowadays pollution is a word very sensitive in China. There are a lot of newly issued regulations on factories causing pollution, like not allowing them to work on certain days of the year, or give them penalty if certain kind of work may lead to pollution like furniture making or polishing. So if this factory can cause pollution, maybe it will not lead to success in the long run. Also, despite the governments’ laws, pollution is detrimental to human health, if we treat our health for job, it is totally not worthwhile.

参考思路：1. taking photos---making friends，saving photos to review or share when they are old. 2. Listen to music--- making friends, relaxed and cultivate their talents in singing. 3. Recording courses--- review their lessons, helping them understand points in class.

Sample answer: From where I stand, I really think listening to music is the most important benefit that smartphones bring to students. For one thing, they can relax themselves when listening to music, in this way they can release their pressure from studies, giving them more fresh ideas for the upcoming studies. Furthermore, students are at a age of unlimited possibilities, they can listen to music and practice the singing themselves, maybe they will be the next super star! It is common that a lot of students become famous when participate in the singing contest, so I think listen to music is good for students.

TASK 2 Some parents think they should protect students from making mistakes. Some think they should let them make mistakes. What do you think？

参考思路：1 protect：some mistakes can have detrimental consequence, if we don’t protect students from making them, they may go extremes. 2 let students make mistakes: only after they make mistakes and learn the result can they know right from wrong.

Sample answer：In my opinion, it is better for students to make mistakes themselves and learn from it. Because we know young students can be very rebel sometimes, if parents tell them to eat a healthy diet or to have a good sleep not to stay up late, it is likely that students would think their parents as a supervisor who always regulate and supervise their behaviors, so instead of follow parents guidance, they may even try to break it on purpose. On the other hand, if the students find themselves can’t concentrate on the class next day due to lack of sleep, and being laughed by the classmates, they will learn the lesson and try to have a good sleep in the night if there is a class early in the morning. Also, parents can not accompany the students for their whole life, they need to learn to grow up themselves, and the lesson gained from the mistakes can have even longer effects.

TASK1 Things keep changing, describe one thing you think you would never do ten years ago

sample answer: I would never do painting ten years ago, because at that time I was not a person of patience and persistence, hardly can I sit at one place do the same thing for one hour, with time passing by, my personality changed a lot, sometimes I feel sit quietly by oneself is an enjoyment, we can either listen to others or do the thinking, even paint a picture, so we can conclude that the changing world are reshaping us, we need to change ourselves to adapt to the world and enjoy it.

Sample answer: I think it is a terrible idea! Because it is really for children to have a happy childhood, understanding nothing else but the basic knowledge and playing games with others. A happy childhood is of great significance for one’s life. Plus, we know with time passing by, news arise at a certain period of time can become out of date or some new regulations can be amended at later time when the children grow up. And at last we can not neglect the truth that some pieces of news are presenting negative attitudes toward the society, there were rubbery, killing or stolen, which can hurt children’s feelings.

TASK1 说一说在郊区建设大学的利与弊。

Talk about the advantage and disadvantage of building universities at the suburban areas.

参考思路：advantage：less distraction, better environment. Disadvantage: inconvenient transportation, less communication with other universities.

Sample answer：The advantage of this decision is students in the campus are exposing to less distractions. We know there are maybe less restaurants and cinemas, or even KTVs, it is likely that they can do more studies and sports on campus. Also the environment or air quality in the suburban areas are usually better than that of the downtown, so students can be healthier. As for the disadvantage, maybe both the teachers and the students can have less communication with teacher s and students from other universities, so they may have difficulties in learning from each other or carrying out some activities together.

TASK2 Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: kids should be allowed to use electronic devices.

参考思路：disagree，hurt their eyes, hurt their minds, hurt their bodies.

Sample answer: Definitely I would disagree that kids should be allowed to use electronic devices. I can not see the benefits of electronic devices to kids. What they can do is hurt children’s eyes, we know fixing at the screen for a long time can increase their chances of being near sighted. Plus, sitting at one place staring at the screen means they would have no communication, no outside activities to play with other kids. But the truth is, children should be allowed to go outside to communicate and do sports, only in this way, can they have a strong mind and body.
