真题解析:
• Do your prefer rainy days or sunny days
I prefer sunny days. I can’t stand rainy days because everything feels moist and damp. The roads also become muddy and slippery, which can easily cause traffic jams. It is quite annoying for people who have to go to school or work.
• Do you think rain is good
Although rain can cause problems and sometimes be annoying, it is helpful. It cleans the street of any dirt and purify the air from pollution. Besides, I give some relief to the drought area, which is a great thing to farmers.
PART 2
Describe a traditional product in your country
You should say:
What the product is
When you tried this product for the first time
What it's made of
Explain why you like it
I would like to describe a kind of teapot. It’s called red stoneware and is handmade from a specific and rare material.
I first saw and tried this product in a store where there are a variety of teapots and tea. Some are for sale and others are kind of art collections held by the owner. The red stoneware is a teapot flatter than the British one. Usually there are paintings and words engraved on the pot.
I guess you must have noticed what a significant role tea is paying in Chinese people’s lives. The history of teapot should be not much shorter than the history of tea. I like this kind of teapot because it’s part of our traditional Chinese culture. The teapot is a necessity while to have any kinds of tea. When having tea, we also love to appreciate the scent and aroma from the beverage, which means only a teapot with high quality can help the aroma be emitted.
Since this kind of tea ware is made from a rare material which can only be found in certain restricted regions, the red stoneware teapot is produced in small quantities and usually made by experienced artist. That’s why this kind of teapot sometimes become a pricey artwork or even antique.
In a word, it would be a great pleasure to own such a craft.
PART 3
Why do traditional products attract tourists?
Traditional goods are kind of specialty which represent the local customs. For example, models of local landmarks can always be found in stalls near tourist attractions. Besides, tourists like to take something home as a reminder of their travels, which they can use to reminisce about the fantastic experience they had during their holiday. Only local traditional products can meet this demand, and that's the main reason why they are loved by travelers so much.
Is it necessary to protect tradition?
Absolutely. It is necessary and even important to do so. Traditions are handed down one generation after another. It’s a heritage from our ancestors. It is what makes us who we are. However, some traditions are dying because we don’t preserve them well, which is a tragedy. So I think both governments and individuals should try to protect the traditions.
