Describe a small business you would like to have in the future.

　　Sample answer: I would say the small business that I would quite like to take in the future would be a fancy café, which I guess is the dream of a lot of people—to run a decent café somewhere. So I know it is not a very original idea, but I still think it would be really cool to have one, because firstly, it would be a quite relaxing place to spend each day. You know, the aroma of coffee, a nice environment and lax music…so it would definitely beat sitting in an office all day, that’s for sure. Also, personally, I’m a big fan of coffee and I drink pretty much every day, so that’s another reason why having my own café would be super awesome.
　　In terms of the preparations I need to make, I reckon the very first thing to do is to find the right place to rent, so I would need to do research on that. And then I would need to find a good supplier of coffee beans. That would definitely be one of the most important things to do because it guarantees me a certain customer base and a good reputation. Another thing I need to do is to find a perfect place where I can get good furniture, as the decoration of the café can decide whether it would be popular among my target customers.
　　As for where I would have the business, I guess it would be somewhere close to the city center or a place near the West Lake, so that I wouldn’t worry about the number of people I may reach.
　　After all, I believe it’ll be a great idea to have my own café someday in the near future.

　　Describe an area of science that you are interested in.

　　You should say:
　　What it is
　　When you started to become interested in it
　　What you have learned from it
　　And explain why you have an interest in it

Sample answer: I would definitely take astronomy if I’m given a chance to learn an area of science, because I’ve become pretty much interested in it ever since I watched the film “Interstellar”. I thought it was a really cool film and it gave some really amazing insights into the science of space travel. I can’t say that I understood all of it, but it just got me thinking about that kind of stuff, and I found it really fascinating. I mean, just to give you an example, one thing I learnt from the film about astronomy was how gravity affects time somehow, coz apparently, the stronger the gravity, the slower time goes, so in other words gravity actually slows time down! And to me that’s a really mind-boggling concept. I won’t pretend that I fully understand it, but it definitely sparked my curiosity to learn more about it.
　　And another thing I picked up from the film was the concept of wormholes, which might enable you to travel from one part of the universe to another in a relatively short space of time. Kind of like a shortcut. And I’d never really heard of wormholes before I’d watched the film, but I found it all really fascinating. So it’s definitely an area of science that I’d like learn more about.
