Casablanca as a film

Casablanca is a 1942 American romantic drama film. Set during World War II, it focuses on an American expatriate who must choose between his love for a woman and helping her Czech Resistance leader husband escape the Vichy-controlled city of Casablanca to continue his fight against the Nazis.

Casablanca was nominated for eight Academy Awards, and won three.In 2005, it was named one of the 100 greatest films of the last 80 years by Time magazine. In 2006, the Writers Guild of America, West agreed, voting it the best ever in its list of the 101 greatest screenplays.

Although highly reputed, the film has several logical flaws. Firstly, there was no uniformed German troops were stationed in Casablanca during World War II. Also, the usual route out of Germany at that time was via Vienna, Prague, Paris, and London. Others tried to go from Paris through the Pyrenees to Spain, not Casablanca, as portrayed in the film.

《卡萨布兰卡》于1942年上映，讲述了二战时期，商人里克手持宝贵的通行证，反纳粹人士维克多和妻子伊尔莎的到来使得里克与伊尔莎的旧情复燃，两人面对感情和政治的矛盾难以抉择的故事。

《卡萨布兰卡》在第16届奥斯卡奖颁奖礼上获得了最佳影片、最佳导演、最佳剧本三项奖项  。2006年，美国好莱坞编剧协会评选了史上“101部最伟大的电影剧本”，该片排名第一位。

即便如此，影片还是存在于历史不符的逻辑错误，比如，当时的卡萨布兰卡并没有影片中描述的正规德国军队或者警察；二战期间逃离的德国的主要途径也不是卡萨布兰卡，而是维也纳，布拉格。

电影中有很多经典台词，中文翻译非常生动：

 1.A lot of water under the bridge. 过去的事有如逝水。

2. I suspect that under that cynical shell you are at heart a sentimentalist.  我怀疑在你愤世嫉俗的外表下，你的内心是个性情中人。

3. That’s the way it goes. One in, one out.  自然法则，一进一出。

Casablanca as a song

这首歌曲《Casablanca》的创作和演唱者是Bertie Higgins。德国诗人Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe哥德是Bertie Higgins的曾曾祖父。

很多人以为这首歌是电影《卡萨布兰卡》的插曲， 其实不然。Bertie Higgins曾与现任妻子，时任女友分开过一段时间；Bertie Higgins用两年时间进行挽回，最后创作这首歌回忆了两人曾经一起看电影《卡萨布兰卡》的场景。女友从收音机里听到这首歌，终于感动，回到他身边并答应了他的求婚 。

Casablanca as a city

Casablanca  is the largest city of Morocco, located in the central-western part of the country on the Atlantic Ocean. It is one of the most important cities in Africa, both economically and demographically.Casablanca once under the rule  of Portuguese, Spanish and French. Portuguese named it "Casa Branca" -- "White House" -- later changed to “Casablanca".

想去卡萨布兰卡旅行的最大阻力在于签证。摩洛哥签证曾被称为“全球最难申请的签证之一”。好消息是摩洛哥王国驻华大使馆宣布，自2016年06月01日起，摩洛哥王国正式实施对中国公民赴摩洛哥免签的政策。中国公民可持任何类型中国护照免签进入摩洛哥境内，最长停留期不超过90天。
