【看美剧学托福】文艺青年终结者——爆裂鼓手

就这几个关于成功、关于成长、关于教育的话题，今天就跟Sherry来看一部让观众又爱又恨、三观亦正亦邪的热门电影：“Whiplash”，中文被翻译成了“爆裂鼓手”。

其实在翻译的适合更适合加上强烈的语气词和叹号：“爆裂吧！鼓手！！！”，以此来反映观众们在看完电影之后的狂热心情。

先来介绍下它爆裂的剧情：一个长得甜甜糯糯的小男生Andrew，立志成为架子鼓大师。不知是命运对他是眷顾还是唾弃，他真的得到了师从“魔鬼导师”Fletcher的机会，从此开始被Fletcher的“地狱训练法”折磨得身心俱残。偏偏Andrew一心想成为伟大的鼓手，所以在强烈的高压下不惜流汗流血，开启自虐式的磨练技艺的过程。

所以在影片最后，他压抑已久的情绪被老师的“恶意”一触即发，开挂似的用一段天人合一的solo，向天下人证明了自己的伟大，以及那个宇宙真理：“不疯魔不成活”。身边有小伙伴看完电影后目瞪口呆，憋了半天才吐出三个字：“燃爆了！”

这部电影捧出了一个奥斯卡最佳男配角：饰演Fletcher的J.K. Simmons，不过，我心中的无冕之王是那个被打脸无数次、丢了女朋友、打鼓打得双手血肉模糊，但是在结局脱胎换骨的小哥Andrew。

电影看得太酣畅淋漓，看完后意犹未尽，强行去知乎刷了一篇影评，摘抄如下：“看到电影最后，我也比较纠结Fletcher究竟是想败坏Andrew还是想成就他，但是看到最后舞台上这一老一少在舞台上、在让人目不暇接的鼓棒挥舞中一笑泯了恩仇的时候，突然理解了艺术的本质：It is art itself that matters. 艺术家可以有恩怨情仇，但是真正伟大的艺术，永远只能让人尊敬。

说实话，这种三观亦正亦邪的电影，真的不好点评。尤其是为了刻画老师的变态性格，用了好多F words，让自称是蒙古女汉纸的老师都不忍心听了嘤嘤嘤~~ （感兴趣的同同学可以拿小本子记下来，将来在国外的时候秉持“人不犯我我不犯人，人若犯我我就把这个本子掏出来摔他脸上”的原则，保证杀伤力杠杠的。）

话说回来，这部戏剧张力最强的地方之一就是这对师徒关系了，那咱们从电影的角度出发，如何来论证这道托福写作题目呢？

Specifically, my perspective resonates in a hit movie “Whiplash”, which tells a story of a young and talented drummer — Andrew. He wants to learn from the most respected professor — Fletcher, who does not hold back on abuse towards his students in the band concerning the tempo, the chord or the playing skills. Just because Fletcher keeps pushing Andrew and requires perfection from him,  Andrew finally realizes his dream and becomes a legendary drummer.

I admire Fletcher’s teaching method very much because a conviction rooted deeply in my heart that “Greatness doesn't come easily; with that comes a harsh requirement.” In this regard, teachers should spare no effort to instill knowledge or to cultivate skills, while telling students that they are “doing a great job” to compliment their self-confidence contributes nothing to pushing students to their new limits.

写在结尾的话——韩心宇

最近就收到了南开大学一位童鞋的影评：“我看完爆裂之后只是看到一个偏执的老师教出了一个偏执的学生，一点点也没有感受出所谓的师生情之类的，而且那个小哥最后的一场鼓让我觉得他已经丧失自己了”。

想想确实可以这么解读，那么就需要童鞋们换一个角度写托福写作的文章啦~
