雅思口语Part3:Health
Q1.What would you say is a healthy diet?
A1.For most of us, a healthy diet should involve a variety of food, such as staple, meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, nuts, etc. And it’s better to keep your diet rich in protein, vitamins and fibre, while low in sugar and saturated fat. However, it is important to point out that there is no such thing as a healthy diet for everyone.Actually what ‘a healthy diet’ should be like varies from individual to individual, depending on their age, gendre, their own health condition, etc. For instance, although for most people fruits serve as an important source of trace elements, vitamins and water, these can be a big danger to diabetics for their high sugar content.
Q2.What are the effects on people who habitually eat an unhealthy diet?
A2.They may first get stuck in the so-called sub-health state, when they have symptoms like poor appetite or cynorexia, indigestion, constipation, chronic fatigue, etc., while in the long term, they may suffer from different kinds of diseases. For example, people who consume large amount of junk food everyday are very likely to experience obesity, diabetes, or even cancer, whereas a deficient diet can lead to skin disorders, which seriously affects one's appearance.
Q3.Do you think food was safer to eat in the past than it is today?
A3.To be honest, I really don’t think so. The gutter oil issue, the K*C chicken problem, the horse meat scandal, the orange colouring injection issue, and that the lamb kebab you have in the street market could be actually made from rat meat……these recent cases have just frightened me. It feels like wherever you go for a meal, you just put yourself in danger.
