雅思口语Part3:Opinions
Q1.Do you think it would be a good idea for schools to ask students their opinions about lessons?
A1: I think it is more than just a “good idea”. Actually it is necessary to know, in today’s education, what students think about their teachers, their subjects, the way knowledge and skills are delivered, etc., because it is the students who are the subject of a lesson, a school and the education. They are the centre. Their needs should always be taken into account in curriculum design while their feelings are a critical factor in the evaluation of a lessons or a course.
Q2. What would the advantages for schools be if they asked students their opinions?
A2: One of the benefits of doing this could be, school teachers would know students’ needs of learning so that they could adjust their ways of teaching for their students.Another advantage would be that schools, through surveys or interviews, were able to know how their teachers had performed in class and whether they should make any changes to their conceptions or styles of teaching.
