雅思口语Part1：Trees
Q1：What kind of trees are there in your city?
A1：There are various trees here in my hometown. One of the commonest types is the London plane,which is popular for its beautiful dense canopy in late spring and summer. Others include willows, elms, locusts, etc.
Q2：Do you think trees are important?
A2：Trees mean a lot to us. First they provide food like fruits and nuts for us. Some are the source of some really important materials, such as rubber trees, which offer latex. Not only are they vital to us human beings. They are also crucial to animals, especially birds, insects and certain kinds of reptiles in that they are the habitats. They are home to all these creatures.
Q3：What kind of flowers do you like?
A3：Oh I'm fond of most kinds of flowers, like, roses, especially tea roses, violets and violas, snow drops, daffodils, etc., etc. I always decorate my rooms with different kinds of flowers. Some are cut flowers, some are potted ones.
Q4：Do flowers have any special meanings in China?
A4：Yes, they do. And different flowers have different meanings. For example, white orchids stand for purity and noble character; peonies represent honour, wealth and rank; and peach blossom symbolise romantic love.
