　　Some people prefer to provide help and support directly to those in their local community who need it. Others, however prefer to give money to national and international charitable organizations. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Despite the fact of industrial development in dominant countries which lead to high standards of living there are still many nationalities who live in poverty and need help in any form available. However, not all people in thriving countries can afford luxury lifestyle as there are different social classes in every place. The question inevitably arises as to whether it is better to contribute in local charitable organizations or to participate in international aids.

Each country has a group of people who are in need and live below the normal living standards. For example, orphanages, terminally ill individuals and disabled people who are unable to lead a normal life and earn for living. For this reason, it seems to be more convenient to donate in favor of local people, because you can see the result of your actions and there is a notion that help is needed in own country. Whereas, it is more difficult to track expenditure of international aids, and you don’t know which part of your money would reach the people in need, as there are international administration costs.

On the other hand, in some countries such as Africa, communities face fatal consequences of poverty. They have no means of living at all, and the food they consume is lack of vital nutrients. They are not able to provide themselves with adequate housing and workplace. Basic household items would be of great help for them. As it mentioned above, minor proportion of donated money reaches the poor, however, it is better to have any help they can receive, no matter if it is money or other items such as clothing or food.

All in all, I personally believe that it is better to contribute in international aids, as it can save a life and they receive no help from local government.
