应该怎么构思科技进步对人类社会带来的好处和缺点呢，以下就列举几个科技类话题的常用论点。首先，在我们写科技类话题的时候，科技产品或者发明对于人类社会的好处往往是比它们的缺点容易写的。我们可以从Individual(个人)+ Groups(机构)+ Government(政府/社会)几个角度去构思。

第一，从Individual(个人)的角度去想，科技进步对于个人的好处比较好写的论点有以下几点：
　　1. 提高效率 (boost/ enhance effectiveness);
　　2. 节省时间 (save time / slow down the pace of life);
　　3. 增加便捷性 (make our lives more convenient);
　　4. 减少成本 (reduce the cost of…)

第二，从Groups(机构)的角度去想，科技进步对于工厂或者机构的好处比较好写的论点有以下几点：
　　1. save the labor / liberate workers(解放工人);
　　2. … will increase the efficiency and productivity of work, especially for the dangerous，accurate and repetitive task.
　　对于上面这个论点，如果后面加上例子将会增加这个论点本身的说服力。一些危险的需要科技来完成的工作有海底勘探石油或炼钢等;一些精确的需要科技来完成的工作，例如同学们常用的Photoshop或修理钟表等;重复性的需要科技来完成的工作，最常见的是生产线的使用。

第三，从Government(政府/社会)的角度去想，科技进步对于政府或者整个人类社会的好处比较好写的论点有以下几点：
　　1. 发展经济
　　2. … can push back the frontier of ...(推动尚待开发的领域)through innovation as an avant-garde (先驱者).
