雅思口语Part 1 真题解析

 例：Do you prefer to wear light or dark colored clothes?

这是2014年IELTS Part1口语考试中出现的跟Fashion and Cloth有关的真题，这是典型的Do you prefer…，问倾向性的问题，近两年IELTS口语part1的话题越来越贴近日常生活，话题也比较多变，我们以这个话题为例探讨part1的解题思路。

1. 考生在准备相关话题的时候要了解话题的relevant vocabulary。比如这个话题，要对clothes相关词汇有一个掌握，包括服装类型：T-shirts，Jeans，Coats，Jackets，Sweaters…；服装颜色，light colored，dark colored；服装款式，silk，cotton…；等等可以想到的词汇。

2. 根据问题的提问方式，我们可以来安排回答。根据考生实际情况，preference的强弱我们可以来安排不同的句式。①Strong preference：Without a doubt, I much prefer…/ Without question, I definitely prefer… ；②Weak preference：It’s (kind of) hard to say, because both have their plus points, but I guess if I had to choose one over the other, I would probably say I’d prefer…；③Depends：Well for me it kind of depends…；④Not sure；You know I’ve never really thought about this to be honest, but I guess I prefer…。

3. 具体情况具体分析。大部分情况希望考生能如实回答，但是这个话题，大部分考生倾向性并不明显，因此，我们以对自己最有利的方面来回答，也就是进行具体情况分析，wearing light colored clothes好处，让我有一个好心情put me in a bright mood；wearing dark colored clothes好处，让我看起来更严谨智慧make me look relatively smarter。

4. 所以根据上述分析我们可以给出一个sample answer

Well for me it kind of depends on the occasion. So for example, on most days I tend to prefer wearing quite light clothes, as I guess they (sort of) help put me in a bright mood, but if it’s for a formal occasion, such as a wedding, then my preference would (normally) be to wear dark clothes, as they (tend to) look relatively smarter.
