小作文:流程图,8个stages写smoked fish的制作过程;
It is not necessary to travel to other places to learn about the other culture. we can learn as much as from books, films and internet. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
1. Interaction:互动
2. Sense of isolation:
3. Landscape:
4. Multi-media:
5. Three dimensional:立体的
6. Recognition:
7. Undermine:

Granted that cultures in various countries start to resemble one another, which is by no means to a large extent, it is still worthwhile to travel to other countries to appreciate what can only be obtained on a foreign soil.
Superficially, the world’s culture is merging faster than we expected or could tolerate. That is partly why people get the same experience no matter where they go. If travel means to get on a plane, to stay in some hotel, to go to some museums and to do some shopping, then it could be quite alike in all major cities around the world. But traveling should not be limites to this narrow sense. It means much more and therefore renders each trip a new experience.
To travel is to get to know the local people. People may wear the same clothes, eat the same kinds of food and do similar jobs, but they are different from country to country, an ordinary Chinese could hardly believe that a totally stranger in America will dismantle his own bike and replace your ruptured tyre with one of his own if he has never been to that country. Media reports and second-hand information can never compare with your personal interaction with the local people during your stay there.
Apart from knowing the people ,traveling affords you incomparable opportunities to appreciate the natural beauties of a foreign country. Admittedly, the internet, satellite TV and multi-media technology are bringing the world closer to us. It is now easy to view exotic landscapes on a screen in the comfort of your home; virtual reality technology promises three dimensional experiences at the touch of a fingertip. However, is this various experience really satisfying? Hardly. Travel brings us closer to nature, the wonders of which can only be truly appreciated first hand.
There is hope that technology will one day supply all the experiences we ever wish to have, which sounds exhilarating yet perhaps also disconcerting-it reminds me of the movie The Matrix. Also, people will remain unique enough to excite our desire to meet them in person.

Part1 Museums
1.Are there many museums in your hometown?
-Not really, I come from a small town, and there aren’t many in there but I’ve visited some of best museums in the world when I travelled to different countries. I’d always plan a day for museums coz it’s one of the best ways to experience the arts and histories.
2.Do you often visit a museum?
-Not that often. Museums are not my thing, to be honest. But I’m dying to see some of the best museums in the world like The Vatican Museums, The Louvre, The National Gallery in London and The Metropolitan in New York. Anyway, what I try to say here is that, even if I don’t take pleasure in seeing arts or histories, I would visit them. It’s just a must-see for me.
3.Do you think museums are important?
-Sure, they are places where you get to see some of the finest works of arts like sculptures, paintings, jewelries. Some people would say why even bother to visit a museum when everything can be seen within a click of mouse but It’s totally different experience when you see something invaluable and breathtaking just a few feet in person.
4.Do you think it’s suitable for museums to sell things to visitors?
-I’m not against it coz it’s a deal based on both parties. Visitors need souvenirs as something to remember, even though they are more likely to forget to pack into luggage; for museums, profits made by selling stuff would eventually go back to the maintenance and providing a better service, hopefully.
Shoes
1.How many shoes do you have?
-oh I am a big fan of shoes, and I have more than three pairs for each season, boots, sandals, flip-flops, sneakers, you name it. I need all of them, flats or high heels, to match my outfit everyday.
2.Where do you shop for shoes?
-I usually buy shoes in shopping malls because they offer you a wide range of brands, from high-street brand to high-end, and it feels great when you carry a shoebox home after trying out a dozen of shoes and finally find the right ones.
3.What kinds of shoes do you like?
-I care for practicality when it comes to shoes, by which I mean they have to be comfortable to wear and good-looking enough to pair with my wardrobe. But, still, being comfortable is the priority. I would not buy shoes that hurt my toes only because they are trendy and in fashion.
Colors
1.What’s your favorite color?
-White is my favorite. When I was a little girl, I dreamed of having all the nice things in white color, like milky bubble bath, snow man, fair skin as Princess White, all-white air force one by Nike, and of course a white wedding gown. All my fantasy is in white. As a big girl now, I still go for white stuff when picking clothes, furniture, and ornaments.
2.Do you usually wear clothes in your favorite color?
-Yes, I do coz you’ll never go wrong with a white t-shirt or a white shirt. But being safe is not my thing, that’s why I have clothes in different colors, especially for jeans or we say, denim in different shades. I am a denim freak, I’m afraid. Anyway, the most important thing is you have at least one favorite color that flatters your skin tone and other colors to play with when it comes to wardrobe essentials.
3.Are there any colors you dislike?
-Not really, or I would say it depends. People always relate colors to some of their experiences, good or bad. For example, maroon is the color of blood, blue is the color of the sea, and of course I would hate any stains on my white tees, no matter what color it is.
Part2 A handmade gift
A handmade gift that I recently made was a bookmark made of all the tickets from the first movie that we had ever seen together. This year I decided to do something special on our anniversary day because we’ve been together for almost 4 years. I had this idea when I saw a box of movie tickets that I had kept at my closet. So I glued them altogether in a seamless way and I added a royal blue ribbon tape at one end of the bookmark to give a warmer look. I’m proud of this DIY gift because sometimes we are too caught up with material stuff, like jewelry, accessories, and we have this weird expectation whenever these big, important days come, which is why I had this idea to give him something coming from my heart. When I gave it to my boyfriend, he was so surprised and moved that I had gone that far in this journey together. We both agree that we should do this more often and giving your boyfriend or girlfriend a handmade gift is sweet, thoughtful and unique.
1.Compare handmade and machine-made products. Which do people prefer to buy or use?
People in my country are more likely to buy machine-made stuff because they are trustworthy and usually good quality, and the most important reason being they are just everywhere. I would say machine-made products are more predominant in market nowadays, if you compare with handmade ones. Of course handcrafts are popular with some consumers who appreciate the uniqueness and exquisite details, and they are either super expensive or quite cheap.
2.In China, when do people give gifts to others?
People in China would give gifts to each other on different occasions like weddings, birthdays and house-warming party. More intimately, couples or two people in a relationship would give the loved one gifts on Valentine’s Day and anniversary. Exchanging gifts is a great way to show your love and care although sometimes we just take it for granted when receiving gifts from boyfriend or girlfriend.
3.In general, what do you think is the significance of giving gifts?
As far as I’m concerned, we unconsciously get too attached to possessions in this material world and are convinced that everything is labeled with a price. I mean we are caught up in material things and kind of overlook the part that cannot be measure by price. Giving gifts are supposed to be a very nice thing but we always expect expensive gifts to prove that that person cares much for you.
4.What gifts do people give each other on business environment?
I am not sure about this but definitely something that could remind your clients and potential targets of your proposal or business idea. It may not work immediately, but as long as he or she keeps the gifts, you will be remembered or thought as a would-be partner at least. In most cases, business people give gifts to show gratitude and appreciation in a more business-oriented way, it’s more like a give-and-take thing.
Part2 Describe a neighbor you ever helped.
You should say:
who this person is
when you helped this person
how you helped this person and explain why you helped this person.
It was one day when my neighbor knocked at my door, saying that she had the biggest favor to ask. I let her in and sit. It turned out that she had a job interview coming up and she came to me for some advice on how to dress for a formal occasion. She told me it was once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and she couldn’t afford to blow it. Honestly, I didn’t expect that coming when she told me how much she liked my dressing style. The next day I took her to the hair salon where I am a regular, and I asked my hair dresser to design a new look for her. It was a big success after she had her long hair waved and dyed. I also took her shopping in a couple of boutiques in which I selected an outfit for her brand new look.
She was happy, more than happy, overjoyed, to be exact. One week later, she texted me she got the job and how grateful she was for the help. I texted her back saying I was glad that I could help a bit.
You know what, what I truly feel about this whole thing is that I’m happy being a trustworthy and dependable person in terms of shopping for clothes and styling. Helping people in need is fulfilling.
1. Do you think people’s relationships with their neighbors today is the same as it was in the past?
I don’t know how things used to work in the past between neighbors, but there was a time when people knew their neighbors well as friends. An old saying goes like It’s better to have neighbors near by than relatives living far away. It shows how much we Chinese people used to value this kind of relationship in the old days.
2. Would you say people’s relationships with their neighbors are the same as in the cities as they are in rural areas?
I would say people living in cities are much more open-minded, as a result, they are more likely to see things as things are, not being as judgmental as people living in rural areas. It might sound like a stereotype, but I do think rural residents have a closer relationship with their neighbors since they are not tied up as working people in big cities, and they must have time for having a chat, or things like that.
3. Would you prefer to have young people as your neighbors, or old people?
I know it sounds weird, but I prefer the old. I’m not saying that I don’t enjoy the company of young people, it’s just that people at a younger age are less tolerant and less caring. They are too busy to care for others. While a neighborhood with a majority of senior citizens tend to be a safe area as far as I’m concerned except the fact that you have to deal with the plaza grannies early in the mornings.
