Ok then, well what I’m gonna talk about is a box of chocolates which I was given by my brother a few months ago. And I’m sorry if it’s not that interesting to listen to, but it’s honestly the only thing I could think of to talk about!
So um, anyway, as for who I shared it with, well it was basically just with my classmates at uni, because I know they all love chocolate, and this particular box was from England, so you know, they were all interested to see what English chocolate tasted like!
And I’m glad to say that they really enjoyed them, which I could tell from the fact that they hardly left any for me! You know, they pretty much polished the whole lot off.
But of course I was cool with that, you know, it was good to see them enjoying them, and I’ve actually had a lot of them before, so I really wasn’t bothered in the slightest, and I couldn’t have cared less if I didn’t have any. You know, it gave me a lot more pleasure seeing them enjoying them than if I’d just devoured the whole lot myself.
So yeah, that’s pretty much all that happened, and I wish I could tell you more, but there’s honestly nothing else really to say!
Notes:
Uni = university (British English)
(You use “particular” to emphasize that you are talking about one thing or one kind of thing rather than other similar ones.)
I could tell =
Pretty much = 差不多
If you polish off food or drink, you eat or drink all of it, or finish it.
The whole lot = all of it, 全部
Cool = in this case it means: 坦然接受的;心平气和的. If you say that someone is cool about something, you mean that they accept it and are not angry or upset about it.
I really wasn’t bothered = I really didn’t mind
in the slightest = at all (一点都不)
I couldn’t have cared less if I didn’t have any = 就算没有我吃的了,我一点都不会介意的
If a person or animal devours something, they eat it quickly and eagerly
