Exercise in a group：

（1）Having the same interest with you—make friends—have fun together; enlarge our friend circle—引入对比 with heavy workloads, no time to meet new friends.

In terms of the benefits of both students and schools, how to exert the limited funding in a reasonable way has become a new essential standard to select between focusing more on improving facilities or on hiring famous instructors. Some people allege that recruiting more famous professors will bring more benefits. Yet, I definitely support the decision that placing great emphasis on improving facilities will bring maximum benefit for whole school.

First, although owning famous professors indeed brings schools more prestige to some extent, which means being more attractive to increase the rate of enrollment, concerning the balance between the investment and benefit, investing the limited finance in hiring famous teachers is not an intelligent choice. To be specific, because of the confined money, the trend that schools will not at first hire a great number of professors for each major will certainly result in the fact that improving the so-called academic qualities in such way can only benefit for limited students from specific departments. Therefore, students who are not interested in such majors will not be attracted to enroll in this school. However, not only will improving facilities be conducive to all over the campus instead of “some” students, but also bring the real enhancement of enrollment. Actually, most people will prefer to the schools having the better facilities, when selecting between the one which has “relative good” educational resources and the one which has the eye-catching establishments. We can also receive the same conclusion from the US News Ranking or the QS ranking—the position of a school in the list will depend on many factors including whole acreage, virescence area, level of facilities, the collection of books, academic abilities and so forth. Hence, improving facilities will make a win-win effect for schools and their students.

Besides, advancement of facilities will enrich the resources available for students. Talking about the academic resources, I will take the library as an example. More abundant the collection of books and journals are, more knowledge students can obtain and apply to their researches. As we all know, one of the most vital abilities students must get during their student-age is how to study by themselves so that they can face and dissolve wide varieties of challenges in their career development. Such facilities, computers, libraries, will definitely aid them to reach their objects. Furthermore, for undergraduates, a great deal of basic and abstract knowledge need schools to offer advanced laboratories to assist students to understand these knowledge deeply by mixing with real experiments in person. Also, for graduates, a good laboratorial environment is fairly necessary to guarantee the success of experiments. Of course, When we refer to the resources, we are not supposed to restrict it in academic resources. It also includes the infrastructure resources, such as seats, Internet and so forth. I still remember how “spectacular” the line is when the mid-term exam and final exam are coming. Everyone tries to have a seat in the library where the atmosphere is very comfortable because of the air condition to proceed their review smoothly. However, the number of seats in library is very limited most partly due to the area of library. Therefore, better facilities will really supply students with a fully resourceful and convenient condition.

From all the above we have discussed, we can safely draw the conclusion that in order to maximize the benefit both for the prestige and financial budget of universities and for the ability cultivation and convenience of students, we should focus our finite funding more on improving the facilities.
