I totally agree with this statement. Because honesty is an essential personality which should be influenced by how other people say. For example, my cousin Tony, he worked in a computer company. And once he and his team lost a very important contract. The manager totally flipped out. Tony stood out and took the major responsibility of this mistake even the rest of the team got the cold feet. In fact that the manager was touched by Tony’s  courage and honesty and gave him a promotion.

Besides, students can hand in sample of their work to prove that. But the student in the conversation disagrees with this proposal. Firstly students can take other art courses apart from the one they have already took off-campus, like people who learned music can pick photography and this helps them to explore different areas. Secondly professors are too busy to take a good look at all samples.

For example, a video game company subvert tradition by using a movement sensor to replace controller. And this was a hit. Then another company copied this and upgrade their graphic quality. In the conversation, the woman has a problem that she made a vase in her pottery class and she wanted to mail her mother this vase as birthday gift. But this vase is very fragile. There are two possible solutions. The first is to find a mail company. The second is to drive back home and send the vase in person. I prefer the first solution. Because the company will wrap the vase really nice and make sure it will be delivered back home safely. Otherwise the woman has to drive couples hours back and forth. And now happens to the time when she is busy with her midterm.

The professor gives two examples of risk of price discounting. Firstly, people will cease making purchase of regular price product. Take a furniture company for example, they hold a huge promotion in December, 50% off for almost all products. After couple of years, the company found out that customers didn’t buy their product in rest time. They wait for the December discount. The second risk is that people tend to believe product on sale is in low quality. Take a car company for example, in an effort to promote new car, company carried out a discount. But customers doubted that those accessories are problematic.
