3月7日托福口语预测——Task1

Among the three following activities, which do you think has the most benefits for students? A field trip, a home tutoring session or a presentation given by the local leader.

The one I think has the most benefits for students is a presentation given by the local leader. Because it is very inspiring and motivating.Take myself for example, when I was in high school roughly around 5 years ago, I was a bad student, feeling that it was just pointless to sit in the classroom and listen to the babble from the teacher.
However one day a life-changing presentation given by a local leader totally turned my life around. He shared his experience about how he realized the importance of study when he had to struggle for life. I was shocked and started to pull myself together by being a really good student.

Some college students like to spend their free time studying another course or doing schoolwork. While others like to join a club and enjoy club activities which do you think is better and why?

As for me, I would definitely for the second one because it will help me to enhance my other skills. Take my cousin Sammy for example, when he was in high school, he got a lot of free time to manage all by himself. Some of his classmates would choose to go for tutor session related to academic study. While Sammy chose an English club where he could meet many bright people . After participating the club for a semester, he practically could manage basic English conversation now because those people he met were very good at English and helped him a lot.

3月7日托福口语预测——Task3

The school has made an announcement that each theater-major student is required to take trip off campus and watch a drama. The activity will charge each student 35 dollars, covering 3 shows. Because it will help students have a better understanding of theater.
The man in the conversation agrees with this announcement. Firstly, art major students what can’t be learned from the reading can be acquired by watching drama and interpret the character. Secondly, the charge is real bargain. Because one single show costs more than 35 dollars. Now 35 dollars covers 3 dramas. Plus, the school provides free transportation.

Stimulus discrimination means animals perceive different sound to differ danger and safety. The professor uses one example to explain this. There is one kind of sea otter preying upon seal. But other kinds of sea otter bring no danger to seal. The sound of this one special kind sea otter make very unique sound, over and over again. While that of others is more complex, more like music. So the seal can tell their predator from other by distinguishing the sound. If it is their predator, they would escape otherwise they won’t run away and waste their energy

3月7日托福口语预测——Task5

In the conversation the man is having a problem that he has to write a paper. His professor recommended him and another student to read a book. And the only copy of the book in library is borrowed by the other student. There are two possible solutions to the man’s problem.
The first is to by one on the internet. The second is to share the copy with that student who has the only copy of the book. I think the man should take the first one. Because the book probably is also required in other subjects. Secondly, the student said only when he finished his reading will he lend the book to the man. But the paper is due next week. There is no time left.

3月7日托福口语预测——Task6

In the lecture the professor mainly talks about two drawbacks of comparative marketing. In the first example, the consumers will memorize the competitor’s brand. Like the soft drink, consumers will related the competitor’s product to the keyword “taste good”. Because it was mentioned too many times in the ad. The second drawback is that it may draw adverse effect by unconsciously insulting the consumers who use the competitor’s product.

For example, a kind of shampoo. In the advertisement of product A, audience were told that hair feels terrible after using product B while product A is helpful and make the hair look nice. So people who use product B feel insulted and will not buy product A
