Do the young people nowadays rely too much on technology? The answer is affirmative.

As a young person in 21st century, maybe I can't imagine that several decades ago when a person was far away from home and isolated in a strange city, he had no choice but to write a letter in order to ease isolated feelings and homesickness; and I can't imagine many years ago how people got to know the world tendency.

Nowadays, the young people can't be seperated from the modern technology. Walking along the street, the young people like listening all kinds of music with MP3, MP4, MP5 even MP6 players...

What's more, every young person has a mobile phone, so they wouldn't be isolated from this society, his family and friends.

If you enter the dorm of the university, you can have a big surprise that there are several laptops in such a small dorm. Young people use it for studying, chatting, playing computer games, making new friends, getting to know the whole world and so on.

So it is sure that the young people depend on too much on technology.

Yes, they do.

Nowadays, technology, especially high technology is playing a more important role in young people's everyday life instead of cooking by themselves, they have been used to heating the food by microwave. They wash their clothes with the washing machine rather than by hand. Most of the young people have given up cassette recorders and listen to music or English on MP3 or MP4. The young people nowadays are having so much dependence on technology that they are losing some basic abilities, which will lead to bad effects on them, and bad habits would thus be formed.

For instance, when young people want to find something unknown, they always log onto the Internet. Though the Internet will provide more kinds of materials than books, it contains unhealthy information.

Besides, communicating through Internet, such as chatting on-line can make many young people estrange from the reality. Still worse, too many young people especially boys, are addicted to playing Internet games.

Have you ever heard of cheating with high technology? Have you ever deeply thought about the problems that technology brought in?

In conclusion, I hope young people can make proper use of technology. Do like this, you will get good returns. If you rely on too much on technology, or make improper use of it, you will suffer from bad results.
