解析：此题错在his or her. 考察人称一致的问题。这个所有格的主语是workers in the United states，所以应该改为their. 所以从此题不难看出，很多SAT语法真题语法点并不难，是大家都能掌握并且熟知的简单语法，但是大家需要更加细致的对比前后的逻辑关系。句间和句内关系是SAT语法尤为看重的。

解析：此题错在with. 考察平行结构。 此题both a response to 后面有两个宾语，一个是her critics’ mistrust，一个是an elaboration. 在这两个宾语后面都有个所属格，因此with 应该为of，和后面的an elaboration of 结构平行。

同样，对句子的平行结构，是SAT语法的考试重点，需要学生们对此非常熟悉。
