2014年7月19日雅思听力机经预测，从2014年雅思4,5,6月的雅思考题上，可以看出旧题比例趋于稳定，通常都是2套旧题配2套新题，其中11年和10年的旧题出现比例最高，分别出现了11次和6词，其次是12，13, 09年的旧题，零星夹杂着较老版本的V300题目和06-08年的旧题。

从场景的角度来看，旅游场景是最常考察的场景，在这个季度共考察5次，Section1和Section2均有出现，具体内容涉及camping,旅游是的hotel booking等等内容，在6月7号的考试中，还出现了旅游地图题。休闲娱乐的场景也出现的比较多，具体内容涉及festival, reading club等等。Job和accommodation场景也分别考到3次。第三部分还是经典的学习研究场景为主，题型较为多样，通常夹杂选择，配对和填空， 第四部分考查的话题比较零散，有animal(dolphin, bird, fish farming), industry( earth-sheltered house, 水下探测器等)，还出现了一些社会，心理和健康方面的话题。
